The machine was invented by Dr. Philip Haig Nitschke, also known as Dr. Death. It is designed in such a way that it is easy to move anywhere. This machine is called the Sarco machine or Pegasos which can also be used as a coffin. The supply of oxygen to this machine is greatly reduced, and death occurs when the body's tissues are deprived of a certain amount of oxygen. The design of the device was a collaboration between Dutch industrial designer Alexander Bannink and Dr. Philip. Pegasos is 3D-printed in sections measuring 39 by 20 by 20 in. The layout software authorizes for devices of varied sizes to be made according to the client's desire sizes.
